Georgia Fragkouli

I am a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zürich in the group of Prof. Laurent Vanbever. Before joining ETHZ, I did my PhD at EPFL, co-advised by Prof. Katerina Argyraki and Prof. Bryan Ford.

My research focuses on locating and mitigating performance issues in the Internet and datacenter networks. My work on Internet performance transparency received an IETF/IRTF Applied Networking Research Prize, that recognizes “recent results in applied networking research that are of potential interest to the Internet standards community.”

Beyond the Internet, I am excited about solving performance issues across the network stack. On that end, I have developed a prototype for accelerating RDMA offloads by blurring the line between NIC offloads and CPU-based networking.
